Jekyll Island features some 20 miles of bike trails that traverse the island’s beach front, marshes, maritime forests and historic districts. Visitors can being their own bicycles or rent bikes on the island at the Jekyll Island Bike Rental Shop or at some hotel locations. Whether riding for a few hours or for the day, there is plenty to see from the vantage of a bicycle on Jekyll Island.

Walkers and hikers will also enjoy the 20 miles of bike trails, in addition to miles of beach and other trails found on the island.

Remember to keep your distance from alligators in the ponds on the island. Also in the spring through fall seasons, you may wish to carry bug spray.
